Headquartered in Marshall, Minnesota, The Schwan Food Company is the largest, branded frozen-food company in the United States. Schwan's(R) offers home delivery to customers throughout the 48 contiguous United States as well as operating with a large presence in the foodservice channel and high visibility in the retail frozen food aisle. The company has 19 brands including Tony's(R), Red Baron(R), Freschetta(R), Edwards(R), Mrs. Smith's and the Schwan's(R) brand.

Schedule: Full-time Salary/Wages: $12 per hour Location: Bloomington, MN

Position Detail:This intern position, under direct supervision, will be immersed in a variety of internal sales communications projects and tasks including but not limited to newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, photography and video.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Write and edit internal communications
Monitor incoming communication requests
Design and execute PowerPoint and multimedia for internal monitors
Monitor internal discussion boards
Shoot basic video and assist with low-level post-production
Monitor social media that directly involves or is of special interest to SCBNA
Assist in review and management of Intranet content
Assist with other communication-related duties as needed

Major/Program: Bus Admin - Communication, Communication or Journalism and Mass Communication
Student Status: Junior or Senior
Required:
Minimum GPA: 3.20

Education: College student currently enrolled in Communications, Public Relations or related major. GPA of 3.2 or higher required and sophomore or above preferred.
Years of Related Experience: 0 - 2 years of related experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint - including multimedia within the application), basic newsletter design, intermediate writing and editing skills and basic project management skills required. Experience in digital photography, videography and basic post-production, PageMaker and SharePoint preferred.
